Silverbird suborbital rockteplane 2007 - 2011 Team: Ondrej Doule, Martin Kubicek A Suborbital spacecraft concept designed in an innovative way with strong focus on human needs, comfort and safety during suborbital flight. Silverbird is a Horizontal Take Off, Horizontal Landing (HTHL), single stage rocket plane for transcontinental transport via suborbit. Silverbird is designed as a zero angle of attack plane and thus provides maximum safety during all hyper-gravity or microgravity phases of the flight. Silverbird uses a specially designed restartable rocket engine with adjustable thrust. |
