Space Innovations

Space Innovations (SPIN) virtual studio is a medium connecting worldwide experts to provide strategic and complex research, design and development solutions.

SPIN was established in 2011 to enhance theory and practice of terrestrial building and product architecture and advancement of design policy based on knowledge derived from space sector ultimately supporting sustainable development on Earth. This philosophy is solidified in the first SPIN‘s successfully established project and consortium (in 2011) on the Self-deployable Habitat for Extreme Environments that has been completed in 2015.

SPIN also promotes the importance and understanding of the human space exploration, human presence in harsh environments by creating innovative habitat systems for extreme environments. SPIN also generates supports and coordinates outreach activities as a part of its interdisciplinary and intercultural mission.
