Most recent large scale outreach project with intended great impact is a sci-fi comedy
MARS that was filmed during an outreach mission of the crew 154 led by commander
Dr. Ondrej Doule. Producer Zdenek Janacek and director Ben Tucek led the film
production with extremely low budget in extreme environment and also in very tight
schedule allowed by the simulator’s environment. The first movie that will provide
actual real Mars simulator environment could be in movies in late summer 2017.
The goal of this film is to disseminate possible near futures and scenarios of a real trip
to Mars. The Film is inspired by publications of the Mars Society founder, Dr. Robert
Zubrin.
